NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that a new set of closing lights has been established on the southern pier head at the Harbour of St Sampson, Guernsey. The new lights consist of 3 red lights in a vertical line beamed to seaward and landward.
The lights will be illuminated when there is a large vessel under pilotage (length overall 25 metres of greater) entering, departing, or moving from berth to berth within the harbour. When the red lights are illuminated, no vessel, other than the vessel under pilotage, shall enter or leave the harbour.
Vessels shall keep well clear of the vessel under pilotage and shall adhere to any instructions issued to them by the Guernsey VTS, the pilot launch, or the Harbour Master or his deputies.
